Reap What You Sew.

Growing up as a fashion designer's daughter sure got me thinking how chaotic fashion showcases can be seeing as to how they usually portray it on television. I have seen nearly the whole process of putting a garment together to selling it in boutiques but I don't remember attending any fashion shows. Probably cos' I was too young to understand. Heh.
So, last week, an old friend from Indonesia invited Mum to the Islamic Fashion Festival where various designers from KL, Jakarta and Dubai would be presenting their creations. At first, I wasn't that keen to go. Chances like these don't come knocking on my door that often, so I tagged along.
After today, I'm glad I tagged along.
We had a pretty nice seat to take pictures of the models on the runway. And what beats that flat?! I had the chance to go backstage and really see how much of a haywire it is. Believe me, it's a messy place. (And remember! "I get fussy in messy places!" I kept my cool, of course.)
And it gets even better. We sat down for 2 shows altogether and enjoyed them BOTH with course lunch and tea served at JW Marriott Hotel.
Here are some of the 3209572 pictures I took off the runway. For a day, I became Mum's personal media person.

Hah, seriously, it's a small world. She used to model for my mum.

The second show's all about Muslim bridal gowns. So, that explains the white dresses. Too many pictures to put up. Heh. L.A.Z.Y. So much for wanting to see Bernard Chandran's creations, his showcase was on another day. Boo.
Here's the part where I become a Drama Queen. I wore heels the WHOOLE day. Thanks to that, now I've got a blister the size of a 20-cent coin on my foot. Yuck! It pays to look good, alright!
Pictures of me, you may ask, NO! I don't have any! I was too engrossed being a camerawoman-slash-personal-media-person.
One more thing. Jonathan Putra (Or better known as JP) emceed the event. And lemme tell you, he sure is yummy!
